2012-2013 Calendar
Marina Vista Elementary school is beginning our 3rd year of operation. We showed significant growth on the 2011-2012 State's Academic Performance Index (API) reaching a score of 774 points. We met all of the criteria for the Federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) through Safe Harbor or making significant growth in both English Language Arts and Math. This year we are focusing on teaching and monitoring the expository writing process at each grade level. We have established a Data Team to review assessment results in order to plan for student academic success.
We are looking forward to a great school year, partnering with our families on behalf of our students.
