Mission Statement
Los Medanos Elementary will provide an instructional program designed to meet academic, social, emotional and multicultural needs in a safe and caring environment. All the students are provided with a standards-based, challenging, curriculum that not only teaches a variety of skills, but allows students to apply these skills through problem-solving and application opportunities.
We have a strong commitment to provide a positive climate for learning in which all students can reach their fullest potential in academics and attitudes.
Specifically:-
* We strive to create and maintain an atmosphere that fosters the healthy emotional, intellectual, social and physical growth of each student.
* We value education as a process of opening our students' minds to critical thought and creative activity.
* We strive to provide our culturally diverse student population an equitable education to assist them in achieving academic excellence.

Our goal is to raise student performance to a proficient or advanced level of achievement and to create life-long learners. We provide students an environment where sharing, caring, questioning, laughing, and taking risks is encouraged.
