MISSION STATEMENT
“The mission of Heights Elementary is to provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for a community of diverse learners so they can achieve academic success.”
At Heights Elementary, we work to foster a partnership between families and our staff. As a partner in your child’s education, we ask that you become involved by attending parent meetings, student performances, and by visiting your child’s classroom. Your support and involvement helps to create students who are interested and enthusiastic about learning. Our goal is to guide our students, while validating their cultures, as they develop into future citizens who will enter our community and enrich it by their presence.
Heights Elementary has proudly shown excellent progress over the past several years on the State of California’s Academic Performance Index (API), which measures a school’s academic performance and growth. In 2011 our Academic Performance Index rose to 796 with an 8 out of 10 ranking for similar schools. Our teachers, staff, and parents should be congratulated as they continue to increase student achievement!
