Heights Elementary
Heights Elementary School continued to show growth on the State's Academic Performance Index (API) reaching a score of 796 points for the 2010-2011 school year! We continue to focus on refining our instructional practices based on data from frequent assessments. Teachers also provide a variety of interventions both within the school day and extending beyond, always targeting individual student progress and academic achievement. We want all of our students to become scholars!
During the 2011-2012 school year, our Heights teachers will focus on teaching our students how to write informative passages. They will teach the students what high quality writing looks like, and how to become great writers themselves.
We are looking forward to a great school year, partnering with our families on behalf of our students.
